Ingredients used in Peekaboo Lettuce With Reclaimed Meat Accompaniment And A Peach And Beetroot Flower With Centre Of Reconstituted Creamy Steak

INGREDIENTS:

  • corned beef
  • iceberg lettuce
  • cooked beetroot
  • peach
  • red wine
  • creamy peppered steak pie

METHOD:

This recipe calls for a lot of precision cutting.

A lot of precision cutting is the key to a successful Peekaboo Lettuce With Reclaimed Meat Accompaniment And A Peach And Beetroot Flower With Centre Of Reconstituted Creamy Steak

Heat the wine in a pan. Slice the peach in half and remove the stone. Scoop some moe of the flesh out of one half to make a larger cavity. Save the other half for decoration later.

Slice the pie open lengthways without damaging its top or bottom. Using a spoon, scoop out the creamy peppered steak inside, and drop it into the hot wine. While the meat is stewing, remove several of the outer leaves of the lettuce and set them to one side.

Cut the beetroot into thin round slices to form the petals of the flower decoration. Arrange these slices in the top of the hollowed out peach, so as to form the shape of a flower. Remove the pan from the heat, and using a spoon, fill the centre of the flower arrangement with the stewed meat.

Open the corned beef and cut several thin slices. Place these on the base of the pie, along with several slices of peach, and the lettuce leaves, which should be allowed to stick out. Set the top of the pie on top, and arrange on a serving plate next to the peach and beetroot flower. Garnish with artistically cut pieces of peach and beetroot.

Andy: "The combination of the meat, peach and beetroot is truly vile."

Andrew: "It tastes like a pie with a sandwich, and the flowers are all wrong."

Al: "I can see it tinkling at the bottom."
