This recipe makes two contrasting canapes that are served together on the same plate.
For the first canape, peel the kiwi fruit and cut into thin slices. Top each with a small amount of gooseberry fool. Cut the carrots into thin roundels and position them on top of the kiwi slices, using the gooseberry fool as an adhesive. Cut thin slivers of lime jelly and place these on top of the carrots to make the first of two types of canape.
For the second type of canape, smear gooseberry fool into the centre of one of the Pringles and top with a whole cherry tomato. It's that simple.
This dish takes less than seven minutes to prepare, so is ideal for impromptu parties.
Al: (after a few more pints than was sensible) "It's official - I've lost the plot now"
Andy: "The tomato has a certain sweetness that goes very well with the gooseberry fool. However, the carrot just doesn't work at all with the lime jelly"
