Using a can opener, a knife, and brute force, remove the sponge pudding from the tin before cooking it. This is not as easy as you might think. Chop the top of the pudding off and hollow out its insides. Put the pudding in the centre of its serving dish. Fill the cavity inside the pudding with mature Welsh cheddar. Replace the top of the pudding, and generously apply golden syrup to seal and cover. Microwave for not more than three minutes. Serve with a sugar-free appleade tonic spritzer (half and half appleade and tonic). Enjoy.
